Renewable Energy House
My submission for the wonders of STEM challenge is focusing on different types of renewable energy, something that is so vital to our planet. From the engineering that creates the different devices, to the software that controls the flow of energy, every part of STEM is vital to the generation and usage of renewables!
My model is a house that utilises renewable energy. You can see the devices in action that power appliances in the house - just remove the front to get a look inside:
- Turn the leaver to simulate wind turning the turbines - this helps power the fan inside the house's bedroom
- Push down on the button to move the cloud away from the sun, and power up the solar panels - allowing the oven in the kitchen to light and heat up
