Memories of Our Natural Wonders
My earliest attempts at photography were snapping images of our natural wonders on summer vacation with my family as we traveled the country in our camper van. Here, I reimagine those memories as perfect polaroid snapshots.
These scenes can either be displayed separately or joined together with technic pins. Remove the hills of the fossil beds and the meadows of the mountain to reveal the hidden geology beneath!
Pictured L to R, top to bottom are:
- Massive granite dome cliffs
- Colorful geysers
- Fossil hills, during the 2017 solar eclipse. The sky turned a darker blue as the sun was obscured. Remove the scenic hills to show hidden fossils!
- Red sandstone eroded by the wind
- Observatories, My father's love of astrophotography brought us up many late night lonely mountain roads to stargaze at observatories
- Petrified wood logs
- Towering redwoods
- West Coast Volcanoes Remove the wildflower meadow to reveal the magma below!
- Limestone caves (and bats)
