James Bond’s Bond-ola Gondola (Moonraker)
James Bond is investigating the disappearance of a Drax Industries Moonraker space shuttle, and the investigation has led him to a glass factory in Venice, Italy… but now evil henchmen are in quick pursuit. This chase is not going to be a leisurely paddle through the canals. Luckily Q-Branch has equipped Bond’s Bond-ola Gondola with all sorts of gadgets, and the gondola can convert when needed from speedboat to… hovercraft?! St. Mark’s Square will never be the same (poor pigeons).
Moonraker debuted in 1979 and was the eleventh film in the Bond series (the fourth starring Roger Moore). This model represents my entry into Lego Idea’s James Bond building contest… I built the gondola to minifigure scale, but the contest prohibits the inclusion of minifigures.
The Bond-ola Gondola is one of the most outlandish (and therefore one of the most fun) Q-Branch vehicles in the Bond series.
