Trail Ride to the Waterfall
Immersing oneself in nature is greatly enhanced by the pure physicality of a horse. A trip to the cabin would not be complete without a trail ride to the nearby waterfall. What wonders may be encountered on that ride vary from visit to visit. They could be as simple as watching a spider spinning a web on the cattails or, if you are extraordinarily fortunate, a once-in-a-lifetime event may unfold while you are engrossed in the sight and sound of a roaring waterfall. Be alert to any possibility!
I had great fun creating the wapiti. In the process I learned that the name comes from the algonquian languages. Wap (meaning white) refers to the characteristic tail and rump of the animal. It was also an interesting process creating the waterfall.
