Springtime "Birding" Adventure

One of my favourite things to do whenever I feel stressed is to go outside and go birdwatching ("birding") with my brother – a relaxing and peaceful hobby we both discovered a couple of years ago. In this spring scene, I depicted some of the animals and plants I would imagine my brother and I discovering while hiking around our A-Frame Cabin. My brother and I are both from Canada, so I made sure to include many native plants and animals we have personally encountered while outside. See if you can spot the red and white trilliums, wild leeks or the artist’s fungi which have grown on one of the trees!

If you look closely, you may also see a star-nosed mole underneath the ground, a tree eaten away by a beaver, or a sneaky Canada Jay (the "camp robber" bird) stealing a snack from my bag while I'm distracted.

I’m always amazed at how many incredible things there are to see outside. I hope my creation has inspired you to go outside and see what unique wildlife you can see in your area.
