S’mores With Friends

The long week is finally over.  My friends and I make a quick escape from the noisy city and drive out to the cabin.  Arriving by nightfall, we have just enough time to start a fire at the fire pit out the backside of the cabin.  We came prepared with all the fixings to make s’mores as we gather around the fire.  This was perfect: the brisk evening air, the warmth of the fire, the toasted marshmallow, and the melting chocolate.  Regardless of what others might suggest, this is the best way to make and enjoy s’mores.  A much-needed cabin vacation has begun with the most indulgent of sweets.
