Asteroid Science Station
Deep in the asteroid belt, a crew is having fun searching for rare natural resources and signs of biological life.
Using small robotic thruster engines, astronauts divert passing asteroids onto the station dock. There they collect core and surface samples, and analyze their chemical composition with the station's main computers.
Features:
- Designed as a homage to classic space sets, combined with some modern building techniques
- Docked asteroid, with studs on all sides to maximize zero-g playability
- Sample collection tools, connected to articulated "vacuum hoses" that can also be used for zero-g posing
- Rotating dish to track nearby asteroids
- One robotic asteroid thruster engine
- Sample storage tanks, and computer analysis consoles
This design is approximately 287 pieces. I hope you enjoy!
