Nature: A Rhino

This Lego set is a version of an evolution of a cause and depicts the need to raise awareness on conservation and preservation

It uses close to 500 pieces of new and reused bricks (as expressed using the versatility of Lego bricks). It champion a cause for the nature theme by using the ‘rhinoceros’ as a specific example and done in an abstract version on what if it was extinct and we had to make a memory of it instead?

Design concept (Base plate 16 x 32)

The ‘head’ is interpreted symbolically of the ‘rhinoceros’ at a scale of 1:15. Total Length proportionally is approximately 3.4m x 1.7m in height. (Typical size of an adult rhino). It can move to mimic drinking or eating.

The ‘body’ represents the loss of habitat and depicts urbanisation e.g. apartments etc. Not much more to say.

The ‘tail’ end allows the ‘rhinoceros’ to sit and stand. It represents the regret of the pending loss of their species and how we wish we can turn back time by the ability to spin the orange wheel.
