Architecture: The Cretan Holiday Home
This Cretan holiday home is my first MOC that I built as an AFOL. I gave it to my wife for her birthday a few years ago. It is the holiday home we have been travelling to for many years. And it has become our second home and the landlord couple have become our friends.
The house is built in the typical Cretan style and consists of roughly hewn stones. It is situated a little inland in a hilly landscape and is surrounded by thousands of olive trees. The large terrace on the ground floor is a great place to eat while looking at the sea. The larger roof terrace can only be used in the evenings in high summer, as it simply gets too hot there. But there is a small pool in the garden (it is not built into this MOC). It is located on the side where the outdoor shower and the yellow garden hose can be seen.
At the back of the house are the water pipes, the air conditioners, a back exit and another clothes horse.
