What It Is Is Jazz.

Referencing the classic 80s advertisement, this poster design explains the essence of jazz… it’s jazz! There is no real way to explain it with words. You have to feel it, you have to experience it! Because in the end… what it is is jazz.

I took inspiration from the 1980s LEGO advert that reads: “What it is is beautiful”with a girl holding out her LEGO creation, with a proud smile. Jazz is like that LEGO creation… it doesn’t have to be super organized, it can be messy, but Ultimately, that messiness, that dissonance, is what makes it what it is: Beautiful.

With the stars lighting up the background, the jazz quartet bursts into harmony with the each player bringing their unique sound. These sounds create the beautiful genre we know well. Sit back, and get into the groove, ‘cause this is going to be a concert that will go down in history!
