CELEBRATE: Ode to the Past and Present
I wanted to try my hand at reimagining the 1951 Ferguson tractor with a modern, AFOL focused approach to best encapsulate LEGO's 90 years of innovation in leading the toy industry. This tractor was the first major plastic toy produced by LEGO for purchase, and so my brick-built replica pays homage to the original through assembly in large sections exactly mirroring the molds of its predecessor. The Ferguson tractor can be displayed as either a complete model or as separate parts laid out to match the original unboxing experience.
My model uses 2955 pieces and stands 29 studs tall within a 33 by 43 stud footprint. Snapping together the large completed sections provides an experience that truly celebrates a rich and imaginative 90 year history of LEGO building both past and present.
