50 Years Plaque

This was a fun little challenge. I event learnt some new Photoshop skills.

Firstly, I went out looking for old weathered painted doors, when I came across a discarded section of wood. It has previously been painted many years ago and had many years of weathering. This was perfect I thought, as my initial idea was to create a book, with a wooden cover and leather strips with dragon tails. However I was finding this most tricky in Photoshop to achieve. So I went back to the drawing board.

I played with the photos compositions and got this "gothic" fiery look to the image, I then spent ages drawing the number "50" multiple times to get it just right! I then learned a new trick on how to make an image look burnt. Which is what I ended up with.
