Dragon and Dice
This piece portrays a small party fighting a dragon. More importantly, however, there are large dice (or is everything else just small?) which function as the closest thing to terrain. The idea was that sometimes in battle scenes one using a projectile weapon is atop a hill (thus the wizard is casting a spell from atop a d12) and large boulders can protect people from a spout of dragon-fire (thus the dwarf is crouching behind the d20), while other aspects of the terrain are completely irrelevant (like the d6). The top-right corner is somewhat empty so that the logos don’t clash with the rest of the art.
This piece would probably make a good instruction booklet cover for all these reasons, but I’ll leave it up to the judges. And if it makes it to the Fan Vote, then it’ll also be up to you!
I made this to gain artistic experience (for I have little) and maybe even gain the prize.
There’s so much more I would like to tell, so comment with any questions. I’ll try to answer them.
