Concept: E.D.I.S (Environmental Defensive Intelligent System)
The world we live in is beautiful. However, we can always do more to make the environment cleaner and safer. I designed E.D.I.S as an effort to make things better. E.D.I.S was created for automated seed dispersal. All you have to do is dig the holes, place it on its path, and E.D.I.S will do the rest. I programmed it to move around on four motors for maximum speed and control. When it detects a hole it will stop and adjust its location so that it will drop the seed in the right place and then dispenses one seed into the hole. E.D.I.S will then continue on its path and search for more holes. It also has a forward facing sensor that will detect obstacles and prevent collision. In order to use the most motors possible, I connected two EV3 intelligence bricks in order to create a daisy chain. Through USB connection, the two bricks work together to create one large intelligence brick. E.D.I.S consist of two EV3 bricks, four large motors, one medium motor, and two sensors. I hope you enjoy!
