Edward Scissorhands

This entry is a reimagining of my initial proposal, inspired by Tim Burton’s classic film Edward Scissorhands (1990). The main change I made was disassembling various components of the set and removing the streets, which contributed a large number of pieces without adding much to its playability. The enchanting world of Edward Scissorhands—featuring the lonely, mysterious mountain and the vibrant suburban town—remains intact, in my opinion.

I also reduced the number of houses by two while increasing the complexity of the interior design for each one. Additionally, I added two town businesses: the restaurant and the hair salon. I made further adjustments focusing on creating opportunities to recreate key scenes and moments from the film.

The only element that remained virtually unchanged is the towering mountain with Edward’s gothic house at the top (about three stories high in LEGO minifig scale). To me, this is the most challenging and beautiful part of the set.
