Vintage Moon Exploration Vehicle

Science-fiction of the 19th century always fascinated me. Scientists and adventurers exploring new territories on the Earth, under the sea, or on the moon had created fascinating vehicles that combined existing and futuristic technologies with beautiful craftsmanship and lovely materials. This vehicle is powered by a new powerful source of energy (the golden ball mounted at the back), which is then transformed in electricity (the cylindrical unit in the center) to drive the tracks.

The crew of two (one to steer and navigate, one to control the power unit) wear space suits realized in steel, brass, leather and gold.

Under the beautifully crafted command platform are fixed barrels to collect rock samples.

The 20cm long model (and its crew) is composed of 246 elements.
