Space Police: Planetary Patrol

The Space Police are back! This sleek spacecraft features functional landing gear, an opening cockpit, and powerful twin SP4 thrusters. Today, the SP Planetary Patrol is tracking down an infamous Blacktron crook with a stolen crystal in Sector 20. Tomorrow, they begin a search for Squidman who has escaped (again) in Sector 8. What will the Space Police be doing next?

This is a fairly complicated build designed to interest AFOLs. Including the little robot (image 3), I believe this build contains about 160 parts. It is very sturdy and is designed for both play and display. The landing gear is made to flip upwards during flight. If this is made into a set, I request that it includes a Space Police Officer and a Blacktron spaceman. I did my best to stay true to the classic Space Police color scheme while adding some modern touches.
