Turning Point
There is no turning back. In this moment Harry is confronted with a new reality. Voldemort is back! This model aims to emphasize the critical moment when Harry must enter Hogwarts knowing his enemy is loose on the world. Harry is the lone soul that knows this truth, but the world doubts him, Dumbledore is distant, and his friends have been absent. This isolation is represented by the, now visible, thestral pulling the carriage. It is this moment, surrounded by friends, that sets the stage for all that must come next, and nothing will ever quite be the same. Harry sees Chow ahead of him and he feels their shared trauma after the loss of Cedric Diggory. He also meets Luna in the carriage behind him. As an outsider herself, Luna will play a crucial role in guiding Harry to work through his isolation and see the thestrals, and himself, in a new light. He will use this insight as a strength when he is possessed by Voldemort and he pity’s the dark lord for never truly knowing friendship.
