Journey to Hogwarts Triptych

Isn't your first journey to Hogwarts the most exciting?

This triptych features all the iconic scenes from Harry's first journey to Hogwarts from the moment he got to knew he is a wizard and the magical wall between platforms 9 and 10 at King's Cross Station to the first sight of the castle over the lake at night. All the frames can really be hung onto a wall.

The most challenging task was to stay within a depth of no more than four studs, because the frames only allowed that size. So all the details needed to be crated within this space. I used the lake as an intended break in style to make the view from the boatride more relistic and to bring in a bit of variety so that not all three frames would look the same.

Creating the Harry Potter logo in the first frame was also a difficult task as the original logo is very craggy and jagged. Thankfully, LEGO inventewd the "cheese slope"-part over a decade ago which helped me a lot to recreate the famous look.
