Fred The Red Devil Mascot Head

Being a huge Man U and Lego fan I was really excited to take on this challenge. Limited with Lego pieces available, much deliberation was needed, finally resulting in the creation of the long serving supporter Fred The Red Devil Mascot Head.

Fred first appeared on the scene in the early 90's and so I thought it fitting to use my childhood Lego from that era in homage to Fred's debut, with around 6 modern pieces out of hundreds. I created a framed portrait of Fred with working attachable hook. In the background, goal scenes can be customized. I have recreated the classic Beckham goal scene from the halfway line against Wimbledon in 1996. Classic Lego, Classic Fred, Class Goal.

The process was slow, taking many hours in order to make my limited pieces work, but it was great fun and a fantastic challange. Regardless of the outcome of the competition, I am really happy as it has inspired me to create Fred The Red Devil Head which will grace my walls for many years to come.
