801 Gear Set

The 801 Gear Set from 1970. Set 800 had the same pieces, but also included a motor and battery box.

It was Lego first own 'technic' set and it was even a 'universal' set (no single big build, but multiple models).

My parents owned this set or the 800, since I now own a instruction booklet which show models both with motor (depicted as 800) and without (depicted as 801). And yes, the gears still mesh perfectly!

This is one of the suggested models from the set. And since it is half scale, imagine how big the giant yellow gear is!
