Beta 1 Command Station

When I was a kid this was the second two-plate design for the Space collection I had seen. I was blown away by the monorail and patrol ship. I remember saving up every penny and pestering my folks to take me to the store the day I had enough money. I was SO in love with this set (it was second only to the Galaxy Explorer) that for my first school presentation, I picked this set. I took it to school fully assembled in my mom's bright red Samsonite suitcase. I don't really remember how the presentation went, though I'm pretty sure there was some ridicule, I didn't care. This set was the absolute coolest thing!! Since the Galaxy Explorer is being brought back for the 90th, this set is my sentimental pick to commemorate the 90th in micro scale. This was super fun to design virtually, and would make a great micro set!
