Miniature Grand Carousel

The Lego Grand Carousel is my absolute favorite set. I love the functional music box and motor. As it spins and sings, I could just sit and marvel for hours over every detail. I have not yet been able to build or own a Grand Carousel, so I took this opportunity to design and create my own Miniature Grand Carousel.

I incorporated the spin function into the micro scale version because I have always loved sets that have play features. My favorite part of the building process was designing a horse that only used 5 pieces. In total, the build uses 107 Lego pieces. I wanted to accurately represent the canvas top from the original Grand Carousel, so I used white minifigure capes to replicate it. Not only was this miniature a blast to build, it will continue to provide joy as it sits on my desk and gets spun and played with for years to come.
