M-Tron: Micro Core Mangetizer

I remember receiving the “6989 Mega Core Magnetizer” for Christmas somewhere in the early nineties. After two days of building it with my dad it was finally ready for exploring the galaxy (or at least the living room, which is technically also a part of our galaxy). The gigantic wheels, the neon green cockpit and above all the LEGO-Magnetizer power crane were some amazing play features, making this set my favorite childhood LEGO set.

I tried to honor this childhood memory of mine with a micro scale version of the “6989 Mega Core Magnetizer”. The micro scale model has a fully operational crane tower, an adjustable vehicle body and functioning wheels. The entire microscale model has approximately the size of one wheel of the original model.

I would love to see a return of the M-Ton theme maybe enhanced with some powerful neodymium magnets.
