R2, why did you have to be so brave?

R2D2 is definitely my all time favorite character from Star Wars, maybe because it's in all the movies along with his sidekick C3PO, but let's face it, he's awesome.

In this scene I tried to capture one of the many moments R2 comes to the rescue, but this time he was hit by a stormtrooper... wait... what... a stormtrooper hit something LOL.

The original model was never intended to be a recreation of this scene and you can see it without any utilities in the last picture, but as soon as I completed the model I realized there as basically pieces to make all of R2D2 utensils, and so that basically sent me to this particular scene when R2 short-circuits.

Unfortunately I wasn't yet able to built all the scene in real pieces so that's why the first three pictures where made in Lego Digital Designer with some photoshop enhances, but the last pictures are of the actual R2D2 model.
