A Great Day for Crabbing

It was a nice summer day

in the Chesapeake Bay.

A father and his son

got all of their work done.

As they slowly get thinner

having no plans for dinner,

together, they knew

what they will do...

"Today's a great day for crabbing!"

My contest submission was inspired by the Maryland culture and their obsession with crabbing. Crabbing is the process in which people use cages to capture crabs on the coastline, and I felt like it was the perfect idea for this contest. Not only is it unique from most entries in this contest (as of writing this), but Marylanders are full of pride doing so.

Containing exactly 250 pieces, this submission includes a dock with a crab bait stand. The most popular crab to get when crabbing in Maryland is the blue claw crab, which is included with two red crabs. Also included is a crab cage, which has been scaled to fit a LEGO crab in it. There are three minifigures included in this submission, the father, son, and the experienced crabber running the stand.
