Scene: Strider

"What his right name is I've never heard: but he's known round here as Strider."

The introduction of Strider has always been one of my favorite scenes, both in the book and in the movies. Things start to get serious from now on for Frodo and company, can they trust this mysterious stranger that's offering to help them? The setting is perfect, with the Prancing Pony that manages to feel both cozy and dangerous. The last stop before heading into the wild with the Nazgûl on their heels.
