Still Life With Fruit

A still life is the quintessential art study. It is used to understand shapes, light and shadow, relationships between objects, tone, composition, and aesthetic. They are often found in every day spaces and reflect a tradition that is shared among many cultures.

For this challenge, I focused on using 2D and 3D lego elements as the medium to expand the 2D nature of classical western painting to give the “painting” a more sculptural feel, with the aim of providing depth to the object and aligning it with the modern tradition of art installation.
