Eye of Horus
I wanted to represent the eye of the Egyptian god Horus in an afrofuturistic key. A hyper-technological eye, with deep origins in the ancient Egyptian culture.
It is not possible to progress towards the future without looking at the past, at the victories and failures, at the experiences of those who came before us.
Only in this way will an eye that can see everything thanks to the support of technology really be able to recognize the way to go.
The eye of Horus is also a symbol of protection. Its representation in the future also creates a deep bond with the land to which it belongs.
That land that provides us with the resources to progress, however, must be respected and protected, creating an essential symbiosis, a delicate balance.
This is why I wanted to place the eye on a ground that is not a simple support base, but which becomes an integral part of the project.
Water, soil and minerals become materials to build the eye itself, which in turn protects its origins.
