Mirror of Dreams - 20 Years of LEGO Harry Potter
As Harry stared at his own reflection, the surface of the mirror began to ripple. Green hills and mountains came sprawling out of it. Dark rock work began to form, and the silhouette of Hogwarts Castle all of its surroundings appeared on the horizon.
In honor of 20 years of LEGO Harry Potter, I wanted to bring an iconic object from the series to life and put my own spin on it. The Mirror of Erised has an important meaning and is very nostalgic to me as it was featured in the first LEGO set I ever got: The Final Challenge!
The scene depicts Harry’s vision of one of his biggest desires - home. In the landscape I included the Black Lake (with the Giant Squid), Hagrids Hut, Hogsmeade and its station, the Shrieking Shack, Hogwarts and the Hogwarts Gates with the carriages. Meanwhile the Ford Anglia and the Hungarian Horntail are flying high in the sky.
I also included the number 20 on the front- and backside of the build. Also, the black tile on the flooring says: Welcome Home, Harry!
