The Sunshine Treehouse
The 'Sunshine' Treehouse Van is a project designed in Technopolis, a Belgian science center, by Neel Boone.
In our makerspace we are heavily promoting LEGO as a designing and/or education tool, both the physical bricks as the LDD program. While the colorful brick easily finds their way into the hands of every age group, we find that the digital design process is a more cautionary tale. To prove the immense possibility of the LEGO CAD software we decided to participate in the 'Build an Add-on' contest, a perfect illustration of how you can use the familiar bricks and sets, and elevate them using digital media.
Originally we had the 31078 Treehouse Treasures set in mind as the base set for the 'Build an Add-on' contest. Unfortunately, the set wasn't included as an option for the contest ... That didn't stop us from making a treehouse!
