Mars Mission: Astro Fighter Redux

After 18 years the mission is still going strong!

With new hazards sprawling across the surface of Mars, the astronauts upgraded their gear with modern technology and designs to combat these new challenges. The once small and outdated Astro Fighter has been overhauled with a bulkier, yet sleeker, design to keep up with ships of the modern era that started leaving Earth in its last solar cycle.

With a new detachable tool pod, the crewman of this ship is able to mine and obtain the planet's resources for processing back at base. Another upgrade to this craft is the mounted cannon, now with the ability to fire back at any alien craft that would interfere with the mission! After all, something is out there.

This entry is based off of one of my favorite sets and series I had growing up, Mars Mission Astro Fighter. I loved the series and always hoped that more sets would come from it, so this is my love letter to the series and a set I adored and still have to this day.
