Paradisa Boardwalk Cafe
Welcome to the Boardwalk Cafe! A haven for hungry minifigs in search of a cold treat, hot dog, salty soft pretzel, or an escape from the sun on a shady patio.
Some of my first LEGO memories were from the Paradisa theme, including a simple little set of an open-air cafe, 6402 Sidewalk Cafe (still have it!).
My version has the same basic layout, food service to the right and cafe patio to the left, but recreates it as a building with a small patio, tropical greenery, a beach and boardwalk. As the original was a play set, I wanted to keep that quality, so the rear wall is hinged, opens up, and the roof is removable. Cafe includes a grill, cabinet, & food to sell. The minifigs are updated, with a double-sided head for the lady and a bike like the original set (yellow, instead of red).
I chose colors with a tropical vibe, including pops of pink to call back to the Paradisa pastel palette.
Had a great time reimagining an old favorite!
