Ox Cart Ambush
This set is inspired by classic LEGO Ninja sets 1186 and 1187, reimagined through the lens of a goshoguruma—an elegant ox-drawn cart once used by Japanese nobility. With detailed rooflines and lattice windows echoing Edo-period architecture, the build features a noblewoman, a samurai, and a rocket-pack ninja for added flair and storytelling. It’s a heartfelt tribute to the original Ninja theme, blending historical authenticity with playful creativity. While I didn’t grow up with these sets, they were passed down to me by my mom and her siblings, alongside others like Paradisa, Fabuland, and Castle all of which I have a deep nostalgic love for. However, this build is both a nostalgic homage and a personal nod to my Japanese heritage, designed to honor the spirit of the originals while elevating them with modern care and cultural respect.
