6668 Recycle Truck Rides Again

One of my first Lego sets was the 6668 recycle truck. A staple of older City sets, a small 4 studs wide utility truck, using the old light gray color.

But it had a interesting mechanism; have the truck line up its pick up hook with the bar on the rear of the container, then rotate the wheel on the side to lift up and pull the container onto the truck. Turn the other way and a rubber band will reverse the process and place the container behind the truck.

My twist is updating this small old truck to the modern 6 studs standard, mixing it with the 60408 Car Transporter Truck, using modern parts and the new(er) light bluish gray.

I recreated the original box art (but with less background) with the orginal truck and my new version.
