Toa Chiara

Chiara, Toa of Lightning, was a main character in the unfinished Bionicle serial, The Yesterday Quest, which was published online at Bioniclestory.com in 2010. Chiara preferred to work alone, and was a very inquisitive individual. However, she was also known to have a disregard for wildlife, as shown when she electrocuted a small lizard.

Because Chiara was never an official set, and only appeared in an online story, I wanted to create my interpretation of her. Her overall theme is "speedster", as signified by her wearing the Kanohi Kakama, the Great Mask of Speed, as well as having lighting bolt parts on her feet.. I was inspired by various fast electricity-themed characters in various media when designing her. In my mind, the glowing green bits on her armor would light up when Chiara uses her elemental powers. Her armor is also designed around her being sleek and fast, which can be seen by the shape of her back armor.
