Rock Scaled Ape

Residing directly on the border between Bota Magna and the Black Spike mountains, these Rahi are a constant threat to Matoran who reside in Le-Meo and those travelling towards Onu-Meo. The distant relatives of the Lava Ape are only a threat to those who trespass on what they consider their territory. The problem being that stone apes consider all territories their own.

I felt like most people were going to go for either a toa or makuta for this contest, so I thought I'd show some love to the animals of our favorite Bio-Mechanical world. The fader bulls and mud crawlers deserve just as much love as Tahu and Onewa. I decided to try and summon the highly technic influenced aspect of the Gen 1 Rahi as well as integrating regular lego system pieces into the build as well. The head of the piece is a bit of a nod to my favorite of the original Bionicle villains, the Rahkshi.
