Lewa's Instinctive Discovery
I love Bionicle, always have. It made a massive impact on me as a child and is part of what encouraged me to go on to become an author and storyteller myself. Certain scenes from the books, comics, and movies still stick with me today.
So I decided to build a few.
This build is a visualization of the very first scenes we see of the beloved Toa Lewa, Toa of Air. Recently awakened on the island of Mata Nui, without his memories, he's swinging through the jungle in search of someone to answer his questions. In his swinging, he dislodges a small baby Taku bird from its nest. In a sudden bid to catch it, he throws his arm forward and instinctively calls forth a gust of wind to carry it home. It's a small scene, but one of discovery, wonder, and an appreciation for the little things.
I did my best to construct this without using any classic Bionicle pieces, in order to display Bionicle in a different form. The skull mask was the closest approximation to the Kanohi Miru I could find.
