Hogwarts: Sorting Hat

As Professor McGonagall said, the Sorting, and in extension the Sorting Hat are very important to Hogwarts. Without the Sorting Hat Harry wouldn't have been put so close to Ron and Hermione, Harry wouldn't have killed the Basilisk and Neville wouldn't have destroyed the last horcrux, Nagini. Without the Sorting Hat Hogwarts would be run to the ground.
