Pirates Chest

What could be inside this chest ?

 After making the contest of microscale, I wanted to recreate all sets of pirates my brother and I had early 90’s.

I searched how to associate these sets and the original pirate treasure’s map linked them.

I recreated the map in macro, then, I looked about all pirate’s lego pieces and I saw the chest which was the key.

I macroscale the chest on the good size to fix all microsets inside and I added all minifigures which are so cool and colourfull !

The most complicated part was the handles of the chest because when it was opened, the chest was not flat and stable anymore so I decided to make them rotate on the side to become flat (watch the gif)

The skull wind rose can rotate and the black boat also but a little, the red and blue boats are fixed with only one stud to be easy to pick.

This chest is an emblem of lego’s pirates golden age 1989 and it contains my childhood memories of pirate stories ! :)
