The Last Starfighter

Produced in 1984, It is remembered for being among the first films to use entirely computer graphics (CGI) for special effects and the first to show space battles shot in this way.

«Congratulations Starfighter! You have been recruited by the Star League to defend the frontier against Xur and Ko-dan's army!"

This is the opening sentence of the video game of which Alex, the protagonist, is the champion.

However, he doesn't know that the game is also a recruitment test for star pilots and that he will find himself fighting in an interplanetary war.

I tried to imagine something to place on a shelf together with other creations taken from films or television series and in the end I opted to recreate the main elements of the film such as the logo font of the arcade cabinet and it's shape that I used as a base and it's blue and red lines.

To make everything "playable" anyway, a small version of the "Gunstar" spaceship present in the film and a very simple version of Centauri's Starcar.
