Base: Extraterrestrial Outpost 6L61
This is my submission for the LEGO Ideas: Exploring the Cosmos contest. This was a fun one to put together, mainly because I have never had to work under a piece limit while designing before. Despite the limited piece count, I was still able to incorporate small play functions and stories in the model.
Included as minifigures, there is a drone mechanic and a lab scientist to study the new energy source that can be harvested on this planet. It is an extraterrestrial planet, so for the small amount of terrain that you see, I included dark blue grass and wild magenta and medium azure plants.
My favourite part of the build for me is definitely the console that is hovering with repulsor technology at the very top of the building. I found an interesting technique to create a futuristic hovering effect by using trans-clear wheels and medium azure tires. Tell me your favourites below!
