VEHICLE: Exoplanet-Bound Generation Ship
Without faster than light travel, getting to other planetary systems around distant stars would take generations. Generation ships would have to be planned to accommodate occupants and their growing family for they whole life. Science-fiction has explored that concept for a long time. Here you have my interpretation.
A habitat ring is rotated to generate artificial gravity on its inner surface. That large area is used for living comfortably and growing the necessary food for the endeavor. It is protected by invisible force fields keeping the atmosphere in and protecting everybody from stellar radiation. Elevators on the 3 radial supports and the rotational shaft allow occupants to reach the freefall part of the ship where the command center and docks are situated. Ships can be used along the trip for short range exploration or trade.
The set is made of 249 pieces. It was a fun minimalistic challenge. The large figurehead is a wink to the old space-themed lego sets.
