Samah - In Memoriam

I’ve always loved drawing mandalas so creating them in Lego was even more of a joy! I designed these three to be a set, complementary but very different.
Being able to add a 3D effect to them means it enhances the negative space for different colours and shapes. Ideally when I have enough black pieces they will be mounted in Lego made frames rather than traditional ones. 

I named this piece after a young woman I never met but feel a kin to after learning her story. To me, mandalas signify beauty, peace and the circle of life, all things I relate to Samah.
