LEGO Illusion Perspective ART
LEGO isn't just about creation; it's about perspective. It's about how we perceive the world around us. I've been building for most of my life, from about age 6. As I look at the world around me, I am drawn to view it through LEGO parts, kind of like Emmet from The LEGO Movie. That bench I see in the park, that could be built with a 1x6 tile in rust brown, the legs could be black 1x1 cones, or 1x1 bricks, there are so many possibilities! That is the greatest thing about creating. Another LEGO builder could walk past the same bench and think up completely different ways to build it than I had. But by the end of the build, when you place either design next to each other, you'll still get a bench made out of LEGO. The sculpture I created brings that perspective to life. Created in columns and rows, each column is different. From the side or top view you see only bricks but by viewing from the front, you see they come together to create the LEGO logo. Your perspective is everything.
