Old Town Road
"Old Town Road" is a song by American rapper Lil Nas X, first released independently in December 2018. After gaining popularity, the single was re-released by major label Columbia Records in March 2019. Lil Nas X also recorded a remix with American country singer Billy Ray Cryus, which was released on April 5, 2019. Both the original and remix were included on Lil Nas X's debut EP, 7 (2019).The song has been widely labeled as "country rap", a genre that had become mainstream only a year prior to release.
The build contains multiple allusions to the music video. The road is the main feature, with a couple street lights and some ruts. On the side are houses that bear resemblance to some within the movie. The minifigures include Lil Nas X's two outfits, Billy Ray Cyrus, and some civilians. The two have a stage that slides into one of the houses. An effort is placed on the difference between the wild west and current technology.
