Sunburst Fender Stratocaster

The Fender Stratocaster is without a doubt the most iconic instrument shape in music, defining the electric guitar's shape. Now it has been brought into the Lego medium in an almost as iconic sunburst color.

Design Notes:

This model was created in Stud.io with 1556 pieces and is the second creation that I’ve submitted to Lego Ideas.

In a real-life model, the strings would be normal lego string which would be tied at the top and then threaded into the guitar to some hidden spools. Since Stud.io does not have normal strands of Lego string, a similar placeholder piece was put which can't emulate these complex shapes.

As the neck thins in width, it uses off-set hinge joints so as to not bend. To have the model at maximum stability, an optional stand of 296 pieces is shown in the last few photos.

There are 4-5 unique printings/stickers which can be seen in the final photo alongside a mini display stand of piece 11640, which is modeled after the Stratocaster.
