Blacktron Ambush!

All the scientist wanted to do was process some samples, but luck was not on his side. A Blacktron commando and his BARD unit spotted the lone astronaut and immediately attacked!

The MOC consists of two Minifigures, a brick built robot, and a detailed baseplate with some lab equipment and a radio tower for contacting orbiting ships. Perhaps the best feature of this model (and the most challenging to make!) is the Bipedal Artillery Robot Destroyer (BARD). Lets just say many designs were tested and ultimately discarded.

Random statistical facts aside, the idea came from possibly LEGO's best faction: BLACKTRON! I didn't grow up in the 80's, but I was always inspired by the classic space theme, especially Blacktron. Something about the neon, black visors and yellow logo called to me. I guess thats all i have to say about my entry.
