The Crash

I missed out on Blacktron the first (and second) times they were released, so my first thought on this project was to build a massive lunar base in classic space colors. Putting a new Blacktron ship of my own design in a hangar would be my nod to the fun kits that I missed. Looking over other entries I found that there was a LOT of love for Blacktron, especially the first release. It's a love I absolutely understand because I can't stop thinking about what new Blacktron sets could be!! My own designs were of too large a scope to finish for the contest, so I decided to channel my regret at missing Blacktron into a starship crash scene. I love the drama and mystery of the scene (even without the lighting). What happened to it? Where did it crash? And since you don't see the entire ship, you're left wondering - who, if anyone, from this ship is out there...and what's next for them...and for us...
