A Hike to the Lush Mountain Pastures
Story:
For centuries, the alpine summer has been an integral part of the year for farmers. A tradition in which alpine farmers take their cattle up to the lush mountain pastures and meadows for the summer months.
Here you can see the goat herder Peter driving his two goats Betzie and Bert up to the mountain pasture. On the way, he has picked an edelweiss to give to his wife down in the village.
The edelweiss was a symbol of courage and pure love and an integral part of alpine culture. today it is strictly protected and may no longer be picked to ensure its survival.
Idea:
At first, it was hard for me to narrow it down to just one idea.
But when I looked at my shelf and saw the two goats, I knew it had to be this one. The goats have always been a great part of some sets and should be the main characters of my idea.
I wanted to represent my Austrian origins and a tradition together with the goats in a small display and I think I've succeeded!
